Running Sets

Running Sets are a good way to build up your stamina and to build endurance. They are very easy to do and a great way to get a cardio workout. For example if you are running around the neighborhood or running on a trail then I would suggest you do five sets. This will give you at least half an hour of running at a high intensity. If you are running long distances then you can do ten sets. The sets are broken down into two different phases.


Warm up. You will start off with a few stretches and some light jogging for about a minute or so. Then do some walking. After that you need to work your way up to five sets. You will continue this routine until you have done ten sets in about a half an hour. This will be enough to work your muscles and get your heart rate pumping.


Now there is one thing you can do to speed up the process of building your stamina and endurance while running. You can use a run/walk timer. There are plenty of them available online and in your local sports shop. With these timers you set it so that after a set you can just set it back to the beginning. That way you will always have time to stop and increase your speed or your distance. It really helps when running sets to be able to slow down gradually and stop for a minute to increase your speed and for more distance. So start running sets today, they are simple and effective.
